UGC NET June 2026 Result: The National Testing Agency (NTA) has announced the UGC NET June 2026 result for 84 subjects on 28 August 2026. Candidates who appeared for the examination can check their results and download their scorecards through the official UGC NET website.
The June 2026 examination was conducted in Computer Based Test (CBT) mode across the country. However, candidates belonging to three subjects—English, Commerce and Sociology—need to note an important update regarding the re-conduct of their examination.
UGC NET June 2026 Examination
The UGC NET June 2026 examination for 84 subjects was conducted by NTA on 22, 23, 24, 25, 29 and 30 June 2026, and 5 July 2026.
The examination was held at 655 examination centres across 286 cities covering 87 subjects as per the examination schedule. The result announced on 28 August covers 84 subjects.

English, Commerce & Sociology Candidates: Important Update
Candidates who appeared for English, Commerce and Sociology should pay special attention to the latest announcement.
NTA has decided to re-conduct the UGC NET examination for these three subjects on:
- 9 September 2026
- 10 September 2026
Therefore, the result/scorecard for candidates whose examination is being re-conducted will not be available with the result declared on 28 August 2026.
Candidates from these three subjects may receive an “Invalid Application Number/Password” message if they try to access the June 2026 scorecard before the re-conducted examination. Their scorecards/results will be made available only after the re-conduct of the examination.

What Does the UGC NET Result Show?
The result/scorecard is important for candidates because it indicates their performance and qualification category. Depending on their result, candidates may qualify under one of the following categories:
- JRF and Assistant Professor
- Assistant Professor and Admission to Ph.D.

Candidates of English, Commerce and Sociology should not be concerned if their scorecard is currently unavailable. Their examinations are scheduled to be conducted again on 9 and 10 September 2026, and their results will be processed after the re-examination.
