The Karnataka State Eligibility Test (KSET) is conducted by the University of Mysore on behalf of the Karnataka State Government. KSET is a crucial eligibility examination for candidates aiming to secure Assistant Professor positions in colleges and universities across Karnataka.
Exam Structure:
- KSET consists of two papers: Paper-I and Paper-II.
- Paper-I is mandatory for all candidates and focuses on assessing teaching and research aptitude, while Paper-II evaluates subject-specific knowledge.
- Paper-I comprises 50 multiple-choice questions, each carrying 2 marks, totaling 100 marks. The duration of the exam is 1 hour.

Eligibility Criteria:
- Candidates must possess a Master's degree or equivalent from a recognized university with a minimum aggregate of 55% marks (50% for reserved categories).
- Candidates appearing in the final year of their Master's degree are also eligible to apply.
