The Maharashtra State Eligibility Test (MH-SET) is conducted by the Savitribai Phule Pune University on behalf of the Maharashtra State Government. MH-SET is an eligibility test for candidates aspiring to become Assistant Professors in colleges and universities within the state of Maharashtra.
Exam Structure:
MH-SET consists of two papers: Paper-I and Paper-II.
- Paper-I is compulsory for all candidates and tests their teaching and research aptitude, while Paper-II assesses subject-specific knowledge.
- Paper-I consists of 50 multiple-choice questions, each carrying 2 marks, totaling 100 marks. The duration of the exam is 1 hour.
- Paper-II consists of 100 multiple-choice questions, each carrying 2 marks, totaling 200 marks. The duration of the exam is 2 hours.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Candidates must have a Master's degree or equivalent from a recognized university with a minimum aggregate of 55% marks (50% for reserved categories).
- Candidates appearing in the final year of their Master's degree are also eligible to apply.
