The Andhra Pradesh State Eligibility Test (APSET) is conducted by Andhra University, Visakhapatnam, on behalf of the Government of Andhra Pradesh. APSET serves as an important eligibility examination for candidates aspiring to become Assistant Professors in colleges and universities within Andhra Pradesh.

Exam Structure:

- APSET consists of two papers: Paper-I and Paper-II.

- Paper-I is compulsory for all candidates and assesses their teaching and research aptitude, while Paper-II evaluates subject-specific knowledge.

- Paper-I comprises 50 multiple-choice questions, each carrying 2 marks, totaling 100 marks. The duration of the exam is 1 hour.

- Paper-II consists of 100 multiple-choice questions, each carrying 2 marks, totaling 200 marks. The duration of the exam is 2 hours.

Eligibility Criteria:

- Candidates must hold a Master's degree or equivalent from a recognized university with a minimum aggregate of 55% marks (50% for reserved categories).

- Candidates appearing in the final year of their Master's degree are also eligible to apply.
