The National Library and Information Services Infrastructure for Scholarly Content (N-LIST) project, a collaboration involving the e-ShodhSindhu Consortium, INFLIBNET Centre, and the INDEST-AICTE Consortium at IIT Delhi, offers a unique cross-subscription model. This initiative facilitates access to a wide range of electronic resources by allowing universities to tap into INDEST-AICTE resources while technical institutions gain access to e-ShodhSindhu resources. Additionally, selected colleges benefit from access to specific e-resources.

The project, managed centrally by servers at the INFLIBNET Centre, ensures that authorized users from colleges can seamlessly access and download required articles directly from publishers' websites post authentication. The N-LIST project is structured into four components: firstly, subscription and access provision of e-ShodhSindhu resources to technical institutions; secondly, subscription and access provision of INDEST e-resources to universities; thirdly, subscription and access provision of selected e-resources to government and government-aided colleges; and finally, acting as a Monitoring Agency for colleges to evaluate, promote, train, and oversee e-resource access activities. INDEST, UGC-INFONET, and INFLIBNET Centre jointly oversee various components of this comprehensive initiative. Since 2014, the N-LIST program's college component has been incorporated under the e-ShodhSindhu Consortium, offering eligible colleges across India access to invaluable e-resources, albeit with exclusions for specific academic disciplines.
